We have some fabulous self-guided cycle tours in Piemonte, Corsica, Andalusia, Tuscany, Romagna (Italy) and Coast to Coast in Italy. On these tours, we do have racing bikes for hire. These sporting cycle tours cover more miles per day and generally in hillier terrain than our other tours. We also have available race bikes on other cycling tours, some of which are pretty challenging so please ask us for further details.
PIEMONTE GIRO - Italy
June to September
Level 4 cycling holiday in Italy: a 8 night self guided tour.
Have you ever dreamed about riding the high mountain Colls of the Giro d'Italia cycle race, well look no further? Th is cycle tour around the Piemonte region of Italy, takes in several of the famous Giro climbs. This region is used often by the Giro in the final week of the tour and has climbs to 2500m. You can also try out your fitness against the professionals. On a few of these climbs are Crono centres set up, pick a ticket at the start of the climb, cycle as fast as you can and at the top you can enter your ticket into a machine, you are the told you time and your ranking compared to the professional and other riders!.

COAST TO COAST – Italy

Level 3-4 cycling holiday across Italy: a 8 or 10 night tour self guided cycle tour.
You cycle across Italy from Marche in the East on the Adriatic coast, through Umbria and Tuscany to the west coast. This truly is a wonderful excursion where you will see the changing cultures and scenery from coast to coast. It is now an easy tour as you need to climb over the central mountains but our longer 10 night tour has two optional rest / loop days.
CASTLES OF ANDALUSIA - Spain

Level 3 cycling holiday in Andalusia: a 7 night cycle tour.
We have designed this cycling holiday for the more experienced cyclist and we have racing cycles to rent. Our cycling tour of some of the Moorish castles of ‘Al-Andalus’ begins in Alhama de Granada. Part of the Moorish kingdom ruled from the 7th to the 14th century. We shall then loop north to Montefrio, Priego de Cordoba, Iznajar before making our way back to Alhama de Granada. It is really an epic journey through time, on superb roads and wonderful scenery.

Level 3-4 cycling holiday in Tuscany: a 7 night self guided bike tour.
This bike tour is for experienced cyclists only. On this bike tour, you will experience all sides of Tuscany’s wonderful landscape, cycling in the hilly Volterra area and onto the Mediterranean Sea, through the Chianti region, where the “Chianti Classico” wines come from, and to the wonderful Crete, in the south of Siena. The Tuscany’s hilly landscape is the perfect place to begin or end a cycling season. The temperatures are perfect to cycle all the year round, so that many professional teams (i.e. T-Mobile Team) are already here in February to prepare them for the cycling season.
