On the other side, a wide valley will open and on the long tour, you will cycle around the huge mountain of Grimming. First, you cycle down to the Enns valley where you see the so-called “small alps” where you find famous winter sports resorts like Schladming. Afterwards, you will cycle upward back to the Ausseerland and over to Lake Grundlsee and on to Lake Altaussee. You will certainly enjoy the scenery with the lake and mountain. If you are really in a good shape you may cycle up to an alpine pasture along a wonderful mountain road (1600 meters). Overnight Hallstatt or Bad Goisern.

Day 5From lake Hallstatt to lake Attersee

A quite easy day which gives you time to visit the famous emperor city of Bad Ischl. First, you will follow the road along the lake and afterwards the brine pipeline road to Bad Ischl. In Bad Ischl, you have to decide which trail you will take – both a very nice. One leads you to lake Wolfgangsee which is famous for a musical, the Mozart village of St. Gilgen and a view which you see at the starting of the movie of Sound of Music. Anyway, on both trails, you will see lakes and mountain. Today you will stay in St. Georgen which is in the countryside but only a view minutes away from lake Attersee.
