Sipan
In the morning you will have a transfer to the port in Dubrovnik to take a boat to the island of Šipan which is the largest of the Elafiti islands. Your boat will arrive at the town of Sudjuradj from where you will start walking towards another small town of Šipanska Luka. Two larger settlements on the island, Sipanska Luka and Sudjuradj are connected by a road that cuts across the fertile fields of Sipan. During the XV century, many aristocratic Dubrovnik families built summer manors on Sipan. Accordingly, the summer manor of the Sorkocevic family stands out in Sipanska Luka. In Šipanska Luka you will have the opportunity to try some local dishes and enjoy the beautiful sea. Late afternoon, return to the port of Sudjuradj where the boat departs back to Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Lopud
After a transfer to Gruz port, you catch a boat across to Lopud Island, a crossing of just under an hour. Nowadays Lopud is a charming and relatively quiet place with good beaches and without cars or traffic, home to a permanent population of under 300 people. In the past, however, Lopud was a very important port, with great strategic importance. In the 17th century, it is said to have had a population of 14,000 people, mostly involved in seafaring. Formally part of the Republic of Dubrovnik, from the 18th to the early 20th centuries, the French, English and Austrians took turns controlling this strategically located little island. Nowadays there are reminders of the island’s more momentous maritime past with the atmospheric ruins of a fortress and palace, churches dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries and a restored Franciscan monastery
After breakfast, make your own way to Pile gate where your local guide will meet you for the guided tour. The local guide will take you on a tour for up to 2 hours through the unique old town which is under UNESCO World heritage protection. After the walking tour, you will have an organised transfer to the ferry port and you take the passenger ferry to the Island of Mljet.
Today the walking trails are within the area of the national park. Your walk will begin from Polače village just behind the ancient remains of a Roman palace dating from the 2nd century and continues through the National Park, around the salt lakes. The walk averages around 3-4 hours and there is the chance to swim, enjoy lunch in a local tavern or prolong your hike to the highest peak in the national park, the hill Montokuc.
Late afternoon you take the passenger ferry to Korčula
In the morning after breakfast you will have a short transfer to the village of Pupnat from where you start walking towards Korčula. Korčula is a hometown of Marco Polo, it’s a town of storytelling and a perfect town to find yourself in its narrow streets. In the 15th century, Korčula was transformed from a humble settlement into the city of today, since in the second half of the 14th century stone carving went through rapid growth thanks to Dubrovnik master builders needing high-quality stone. Local workers, alongside master builders, became skilled enough to establish their own workshops and began to receive orders from Dubrovnik. Growing more prosperous they began to build new houses end expand the city of Korčula. Late afternoon you take the ferry to Hvar.
After breakfast you will have a short transfer to Velo Grablje where you shall start your walk back towards Hvar. You will start walking on the path that connects Velo Grablje and Malo Grablje village. Passing through old villages you’ll see lots of traditional architecture. Many small trails will lead you downhill passing olive groves until you reach Malo Grablje. Here the locals had the first lavender distillery and lavender was once the main product to export. Now you Continue further down the trail, passing through Milna village as you meander through pine trees and wild Mediterranean gardens which take you along the coast all the way back to the town of Hvar. Late afternoon you take the passenger ferry.
Departure after breakfast when you have an included transfer from the hotel to Split airport.
