Umbria Cycling Tour

Tour Details

Welcome to Hooked on Cycling Holidays and our cycling holiday in Umbria. This biking vacation in Umbria is available as a level 2-3 self-guided cycle tour. In this unspoiled part of Umbria, there’s an almost spiritual, timeless atmosphere. Small churches, hermitages and chapels mark the ancient pilgrim routes. Summers are long and the mountain air is clean and crisp. Not only the landscape is worthwhile enjoying, on this tour you will find time to taste the traditional Umbrian food, especially flavoured with the ‘tartufo nero’ that is found in the hills of the Valnerina and of course the excellent red Montefalco wines. We have designed this tour to provide a short day and a longer cycle option, the region is pretty hilly so all days will have a degree of climbing involved but you will be rewarded with wonderful views.

Spoleto is a wonderful roman medieval town with lots of things to see and places to go, our rides will be a short half-day easy ride or a challenging and epic climb towards a remote area of Umbria.

Couple Traveller

This was my third Hooked on Cycling tour in Italy and they have all been excellent: well-chosen central hotels, good bikes, clear directions.  I’m sure we’ll be back again for 2020! (Sep 2019)
