Welcome to Hooked on Cycling and our self-guided cycling holiday in the region of Segovia not far from the city of Madrid. This is leisure cycling in the heart of Spain or true Spain as some like to say. This is an easy cycle tour along quiet country roads.
Segovia itself is a historic city northwest of Madrid. Its centuries-old settlements have resulted in a rich architectural legacy, including medieval walls, Romanesque churches, a former royal palace and a Gothic cathedral. Most famous is its iconic ancient Roman aqueduct which has more than 160 arches, most in the original mortarless granite. This famous landmark stands above Plaza Azoguejo in the heart of the city. On this self-guided cycling holiday in Spain, you will truly be amazed at the culture, history, wildlife and open spaces that you shall encounter.
