Visit the truly impressive Cathedral which was built to demonstrate the cities wealth, it is the largest Gothic cathedral and the worlds third-largest church. Seville of the largest city in Andalusia and the region’s capital, it has Moorish, Roman and Castillian influences throughout the city.
Today after breakfast we have the handover of bikes. Today your cycle tour heads east out of Seville using cycle lanes and into the plains surrounding the city. You shall be amongst olive groves and sunflower fields as you cycle towards your destination for the day Carmona. You will soon reach your first Parador in the historic town of Carmona. Carmona is a picturesque, small town with a magnificent 15th-century tower built in imitation of Seville’s Giralda. This is the first thing you see and sets an appropriate tone for the place. You should have plenty of time to explore the town.
Today you route heads south towards Montellano. This is a long but pretty easy cycle along through plains, amongst fields of cereals, sunflowers and olive groves. The route is pretty much flat today. Tonight you will rest in the converted farmhouse, a Hacienda La Morena.
Today you cycle in a south-west direction through some stunning landscapes of Mediterranean woodland on the foothills of the Grazalema mountains to reach another historic hilltop town in Arcos de la Frontera. This is one of the more well known Pueblos Blancos or white village of Andalucia. Here you will stay at a second Parador.
This day you will leave Arcos de la Frontera and pass through beautiful landscape and see the typical Andalusian agriculture while you ride on your bike. You will pass some small villages as you will follow a country road almost without any traffic until you arrive in the small and lively village La Barca de la Florida. Soon you shall arrive in Jerez. Jerez is a beautiful town, which is worth a visit, for example, the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art to see the training of the beautiful Andalusian horses for their “ballet” (daily visits on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (except for Fridays of August). And of course, you can visit one of the many sherry bodegas.

We would recommend renting a GPS device. The tour was great and the accommodation was all very good, the Parador chain of hotels was very good in particular. (2023)
All hotels on tour were excellent. Great locations, beautiful rooms and fantastic staff. This holiday was booked at short notice. I was grateful for the time and help given to me to make this happen. We have been on many of your cycling tours and they have all been excellent. This holiday was one of the best – despite these challenging times. Thank you.
