Haverfordwest
A level 2 tour. Trips with easy day walk which are interspersed with more strenuous sections. Four to six hours walking per day (excluding breaks) in hilly to mountainous areas using well kept but sometimes stoney paths.
3 star hotels or 3 or 4 guest houses. Our standard accommodation is Manor Town House or Fern Villa Guest Houses and The Waterings in St David. If not available we shall book an equivalent.

During the course of the day arrive to the market town of Haverfordwest.
After breakfast, you will have a taxi transfer the short distance to Broad Haven on the coast. Broad Haven beach to well used by surfers enjoying the waves. Now you start your walk north along the Pembrokeshire coastal path to St David’s. St Davids is the UK’s smallest city and has a very impressive Cathedral. Since the 6th century there church at this very site. You will spend the next 3 nights in St Davids so you will have plenty of time to visit the grand building.
Today you can have various choices. Our walk will take you around St David’s peninsular with the views of the bird sanctuary – Ramsey Island.
For the adventurous, you can take a rest day and head out to the nearby docks for an inflatable speed boat ride to Ramsey Island. Then you will continue to circle the island with the expert guide telling you about the Sea-lions, seals and abundance of birdlife which use the Island’s cliffs for nesting. Overnight St David’s
Today you have the option to walk the short distance back to Whitesands on the coast or take the public bus. Whitesands is a haven for surfers and families alike. On a summer’s day and a brisk wind, the waves will be full of surfers of all ages trying to ride the waves. Once at the coast you walk north with pretty scenery to the tiny village of Porthgain. Porthgain is a stunning harbour village with is quaint fishing dock. At Porthgain to join the public bus the Stumble Shuttle south again to St David’s for you overnight.
After breakfast, you catch the public bus the Stumble Shuttle to either Porthgain or a short distance further to Tregwnyt. In this section of the coastal path, you will have many wonderful views of stunning cliffs overlooking the sea. Look out for the various types of birdlife nesting on the cliffs. Now you will have long breath-taking views north along much of the Pembrokeshire coastline. Shortly, you will arrive at Stumble Head lighthouse. Now it is automatically operated, but you can imagine not long ago that the lighthouse keeper used to live and work the lights. Here there are great viewing galleries for you to look out to sea and spot dolphins, porpoises, and various types of whales. Shortly you will arrive at Goodwick and then Fishguard where you shall spend the next 3 nights.
Today your walk leaves Fishguard in a northerly direction. First, you walk down to Lower Fishguard and within a few hundred metres you walk onto the coastal way. At about halfway you will come to the stunning Dinas Head and Needle Rock. From here you can decide if you want to cut across Dinas Head or walk around it. Soon afterwards, you will arrive in the lovely quaint village of Newport where you can board the Poppit Rocket bus back to Fishguard. Overnight in Fishguard.
After breakfast, you board the local bus – the Poppit Rocket – to the start of your walk-in in Newport. This section of the coastal way some say is one of the toughest. You have the chance to exit the coastal path at Molygrove and catch the Poppit Rocket back to Fishguard, or you can continue the full length of the walk. The area around Cardigan Bay is famous for the dolphins which can often be found basking in the harbour and bay region. Overnight in Fishguard
After breakfast your coastal walk in Wales is now over.
