Welcome to Hooked on Cycling and our road bike self-guided cycling holidays around Lake Constance. Lake Constance is situated between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. There is a wonderful cycle path going around the lake but for the road cycle tour, we have selected cycle routes that go into the backcountry as well. Many times the trail will be flat but there are demanding ascent to pass if you choose to cycle into the Swiss mountains and surrounding hills. Lovely small towns and villages are situated near to the lake and many attractions are along the route like the famous Rhine waterfalls in Schaffhausen. Depending on the season you will pass vineyards and fruit orchards in full bloom or see the Alps capped with snow. A highlight is also the islands in the lake like Mainau with its castle and flower gardens.
Bregenz

Afterwards, you follow the road along the Rhine river passing many little villages on your way to Schaffhausen where you find the famous Rhine waterfalls.
