Ideal for classic countryside walking, the Black Forest combines rolling hills, dense woodland and open viewpoints. Trails are exceptionally well waymarked and often pass through charming villages and spa towns.

Germany’s most dramatic walking region. The Bavarian Alps offers alpine meadows, mountain lakes and well-maintained high-level trails. Cable cars and mountain huts make it possible to tailor walks to suit different fitness levels.

Walking in the Rhine Valley is more about scenery and culture than steep ascents. Vineyard paths, river viewpoints and medieval castles make this a rewarding region for leisurely but memorable walks.
