Our Top Cycling Holidays For Beginners

River Danube Cycle Path

Starting in Passau and ending in Vienna, we have a 7 or 9 night options for you to cycle at your own pace along the dedicated cycle paths. You will get to explore many towns and cities along the way like Linz and Vienna. This tour is also perfect for families with young children as we have trailers and children’s bikes available to hire. Check out our Passau to Vienna cycling holiday or our 9 night Danube holiday.

Canal Du Midi

Our Canal du Midi cycling holiday is in the southwest of France. The Canal du Midi meanders its way through pretty rural landscapes and past some historical sites including the walled fortress of Carcassonne. The route is perfect for beginners as it is a pretty flat route alongside the canal.

Italy Bike and Barge

Our Italy Bike and Barge cycling holiday means that instead of staying in hotels you will stay on your very own floating hotel. You will start your cycling adventure in Mantova and cycle your way to Venice. This is a fantastic bike and barge holiday as if you do not wish to cycle one day you can stay on-board and enjoy your rest day.

Interesting list! I would’ve also added Amsterdam there. I have to get to Canal du Midi though, it looks absolutely stunning
