At Hooked on Cycling, we have a large bike rental fleet which is used for daily rentals from our shop in Bathgate and for our cycling holidays in Scotland and Northern England.
Bike Rental in Scotland
The brands and models are continuously changing as we prefer to have on rent new or nearly new bikes rather than bikes of a few years old, ex-rental bikes are sold from our shop once they have been out on holiday rents several times.
Hybrid Bikes
We try to hold a range of hybrid bikes from Scott, Cube and a few from Dawes. They have front suspension forks and at least 24 gears. Some of the bikes are equipped with disc brakes rather than a more standard V-Brake. Frame sizes range from 16”-25” so we can cater for most heights from below 5 foot to 6 foot 6 and above! All rental bikes have a rear rack, mudguards, bottle cage. On our holidays we also provide panniers, handlebar bag, lock, toolkit, spare tube and pump.
E-Bikes
We have several Electric-Assist hybrid bikes on our fleet. E-Bikes are great to ride, the electric motor provides a boost to your pedal effort making climbing hills a breeze! These are ideal if your fitness is not so good but enjoy the fresh air if you ride with someone who is a stronger rider or even if you just want to experience the thrill of riding an E-Bike. Currently, we have E-Bikes from Scott and Cube in our fleet.
Hybrid bikes with solid forks.
We also have a few hybrid bikes with a solid fork. These are lighter than the bikes with suspension forks and hence are faster bikes. Again they are equipped with mudguards and rear rack and equipment is same as above.
Road Bikes
We have a range of road bikes from Scott and Cube. Currently, these are Alloy frames with a carbon fork and Shimano Tiagra groupset. For our holidays they come equipped with a map carrier and a rear bag to please your provided lock, toolkit, spare tube and pump etc.
Tandem
We also have a single tandem on the fleet.
