Austria which is so well known for its mountains and its winter skiing has also much to offer in the summer for the leisure cyclist. Austria over the last few years has spent much money on cycle tourism , developing a vast network of quality cycle ways suitable for families and experienced cyclists alike. The network is throughout Austria which has allowed us to develope some fantastic cycle tours in different Austrian regions allowing for varied experiences. One of these along the River Danube is now Europe’s most popular cycle way. The landscape along the River Danube between Passau in Germany and Vienna in Austria is spectacular with densely wooded hills , vineyards  and fruit plantations . The region is full of culture with a long 2000 year old history. RIVER DANUBE TOUR  A level 1-2 Cycling tour. A 7 night independent and guided cycle tour. This is the classic cycle tour ideal for experienced , first time cycle tourists and families. We use 3 and 4 star hotels along the way. The scenery and culture along the way is probably second to none. 90% of the route is on cycle ways. Allow the route you will experience ever changing scenery , high tree clad hills on the first section to flatter fruit growing regions near to Vienna and of course superb historic towns and villages on each cycling day. SOUND OF MUSIC A level 2 tour. This 7 night independent & guided cycle tour takes you around the famous Sound of Music region of Austria. 10 Great Lakes to cycle to, along and around. The is a wonderful circular tour with stunning mountain and lake scenery. When cycling around the Lakes the route is generally flat but between the lakes the region is a little hillier.

VIENNA TO BUDAPEST . A level 2 tour. A 7 night independent cycle tour which continues further east from Vienna and into Hungary finishing at the great Capital Budapest. The trip takes a short excursion into Slovakia and Bratislava the capital. This is a tour of contrasts and ancient historic cities. Along the way you will pass the mystic swamp lands along the majestic Danube , the Hungarian lowlands , the wonderful farmers villages along the route. For certain it is a cultural and nature experience to remember. The tour is generally flat but with some short hills in some sections.

LAKE CONSTANCE A level 2 tour. This 6 night independent cycle tour is suitable for first time cycle tourers or leisure cyclists around the stunning Lake Constance along the shores of Germany , Switzerland and Austria. This is a real three country tour with the high mountains providing a wonderful back drop to your cycling holiday. The route is mainly on purpose built cycle ways making this a good tour also for families.

TYROL TREASURES A level 2 tour. This is a 7 night independent cycle tour based at a lovely 4 star hotel in the Zillertal Valley in the Tyrol region of Austria. Your base location is Fugen where the Zillertal valleys joins the Inn Valley. Here you can cycle up the beautiful valleys never more than a gentle incline on purpose built cycle ways. Of course along each route you will be surrounded by high mountain views of over 2400m. As this tour is fixed location it does mean that each day you do not have to cycle , maybe try out one of the many way marked walks in the area or go rafting or just relax and admire the views.

CYCLING HOLIDAY FROM INNSBRUCK TO MUNICH
A level 2 tour independent cycle tour of 7 nights. Imagine towering mountains with deep gorges and yet the Tyrol and Bavaria are two countries so similar and yet so different. You will be cycling on the foot of breath taking mountains, grim fortresses and gorgeous monasteries, every bend of the cycle path offers you new breath taking views. The River Inn winds through this part of Austria boasting to have the most mountains. The beautiful Zillertal valley, crystal clear lakes and the young, turquoise Isar will enchant you. Breath the clear air, enjoy the atmosphere of rural inns and embrace the feeling of unspoiled nature. WINE & WELLBEING A level 2 tour. This tour is a 7 night independent tour around Graz and the Styria region. Should you once again owe your body a favour, treat yourself to this bike tour! Numerous spas on your path through the "Austrian Tuscany" will allow your body to relax. The fresh air and the exercise on the bike , never turning into an extreme sport , will make you feel well in a short period of time. A special treat for your palate is the South Styrian Wine Street around Ehrenhausen and Gamlitz is a secret tip for wine connoisseurs. The native cuisine with Steirerkäs (Styrian cheese) and Styrian beef is something that the Syrians can be proud of. Listen to your body! Bike along! and have some great fun in the lesser known but beautiful region. You will follow wonderful bicycle paths, small side roads, some short hilly paths in the vineyards and only main roads for short distances into towns.

St Moritz to Innsbruck - A level 2 tour. This tour is a 7 night independent tour from the ski resort of St Moritz to Innsbruck.If you were an artist with brush and colours, inspired by impressionism you would need weeks to complete this tour. Too many sensual impressions, too magnificent the panorama and too many picturesque villages of the Engadin like Zernez, Susch and Lavin. The Inn icycle path leads through outstanding landscapes: the wide Hochtal (valley) of Oberengadin merges into the big forests of the Swiss National Park. Then suddenly the scenery changes as the Austrian county Tyrol welcomes the cyclist with warm hospitality. The cycle tour ends in Innsbruck; a stay in the Olympia city is one of the highlights of the Inn-bicycle path

Innsbruck to Lake Garda - A level 2 tour. This tour is a 7 night independent tour from Innsbruck in Austria across the Dolomites and to the south shores of the great Lake Garda. No fear though first you take a transfer to the peaks and then a 1200m descend to Lake Garda. As pearls on a string the well known cities Innsbruck in Tyrol, Merano and Trento in South Tyrol line the route on this tour. Connected by the rivers Inn and Adige and like emeralds the lakes Reschensee, Kalterersee and Lake Garda complete this string of jewels. Adding to the pleasance of this tour are fruit orchards and vineyards along the path, from flushing to harvesting always in season on the sunny south of the Alps.

Salzburg to Graz- A Level 2 tour. This 7 night independent cycle tour start in Mozart’s birth town Salzburg and you cycle on cycle paths to the mountains where you transfer into Lungau , Austria’s Little Canada and Salzburg’s southernmost district to explore the spring of the river Mur, the second longest river of Austria. Follow the young mountain river to Judenburg and to Graz, Austria’s second biggest city. Then excursion to Piber, where the white Lipizzan horses grow up before they perform at the famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Impressive mountain panoramas, colourful flower meadows and the rivers Salzach and Mur are your companion through flat valleys. Never too strenuous but always varied and interesting you discover a fascinating country.

Salzburg to Vienna - a level 2 tour. A 7 night self guided bike tour. This bike tour is nature and culture at its best. You will start your cycle tour in the home-town of Mozart, Salzburg and cycle through the famous Salzkammergut with its blue lakes and untouched nature. Always with high mountains in view but always in the valleys of the great rivers and lakes. Continuing your tour, you will reach the Danube Valley with romantic castles, cosy villages, vineyards and a well prepared bike path along the majestic river, the River Danube cyclway. The unforgettable ending of your tour is the Austrian capital, Vienna, with its countless sights to visit. This tour mostly flat but with some hilly stretches in the Salzkammergut, completely flat in the Danube Valley.
