This biking vacation in France is available as a self guided level 1-2 tour which can be started on several days of the week. This region of France is a wonderful location for your French cycling holiday as you can cycle but also explore the great chateaux and castles which make this such a famous region. We think this cycling holiday is suitable for first time cycle tourists and also the more experienced cyclist. You will visit the great chateaux at Blois, Chennonceax, Amboise, Chambord to name a few but there are even more treasures than these to see, we like to leave you a few surprises each day !

Day 1 Arrival in Mont-près-Chambord
Your hotel in Mont-pres-Chambord is a short distance from Blois which is easily accessed from Tours , the motorways or Paris.

Day 2  Tour around Chambord 30 miles 48 km
Your cycle ride today will take you through the national park of Chambord  with its wonderful castle which is actually the biggest castle of the Loire region. During your visit to the chateaux wonder at the staircase , indeed 2 spiral staircases rotating in opposite directions so nobility and servents could climb between floors and never meet. After your visit continue on your ride and the chance to see the castle of Ville-Savin on your circular trip.

Day 3  Mont-près-Chambord to Noyers-sur-Cher 29 miles 47km
 Your ride today allows you to sample the beautiful landscape of Sologne and a chance to visit the famous castle of Chémery. You make your way to the wonderful town of Noyers-sur-Cher

Day 4 Tour around Noyers-sur-Cher 18-20 miles , 30-34km
One of the attractions today on your cycle tour is Saint-Aignan which was built on a hill with houses from the 15th and 16th century. A nice visit for the young or young at heart is the Zoo Parc of Beauva.

Day 5 Noyers-sur-Cher to Amboise 35 miles 55km
Your cycle ride today allows much to be seen , the castle of Gué-pain , the abbey of Pontlevoy , castle of Montrichard, castle of Chenonceau , Pagode Chanteloup in the forest of Amboise. A very full and eventful day so make sure of an early start.

Day 6 Rest day or tour around Amboise 10 – 28 miles , 15-45km
Today you have a choice rest those legs or a nice loop ride around the region. You can visit the interesting aquarium of Tourraine or the  castle of Amboise. Also nearby is Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci died

Day 7 Amboise to Mont-près-Chambord 37 miles 60km
A lovely ride today through Chaumount sur Loire. For the castle lovers you can visit the castle of Troussay and the castle of Cheverbt

Day 8 Departure after breakfast
Accommodation : 2 / 3  star hotels ( castle hotel in Noyer-sur-cher )
